Classic Buttermilk Waffles

Yield: 10 regular-sized waffle
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2½ tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoons sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1¾ cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • a dash of cinnamon
  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Make sure there are no clumps.
  2. In a second bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Whisk the wet ingredient into the dry,making sure not to over mix.
  3. Brush waffle iron with oil or use cooking spray. Preheat then add the batter according to the manufacturer's instructions .Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the waffle maker indicator light tells you they are ready. Serve immediately, or place in a warm oven to keep warm.
