Scoop the pulp of the avocado out of the skin and place in a medium bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until guacamole has reached your desired consistency (some like it smooth, some like it chunky).
Add lime juice, salt, pepper, and garlic and mix thoroughly.
Serve with chips or slather on burritos, tacos, or burgers!
