15-Minute Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 pound raw medium shrimp, thawed and rinsed
  • ¾ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2½ tablespoons white cooking wine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 large sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) box linguine noodles
  • grated Parmesan cheese, for topping (optional)
Instructions
  1. If using, start cooking the linguine noodles.
  2. In a large frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add in the minced garlic and cook until garlic is soft and lightly golden brown.
  3. Toss in the shrimp, crushes red peppers, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook until shrimp is no longer translucent and pink in color, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add in the white cooking wine, lemon juice, and chopped parsley and cook for another 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  5. If using, drain the pasta and serve with the shrimp scampi. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and more fresh chopped parsley if desired.
