Turmeric & Ginger Tea

A soothing and tasty tea.
Ingredients
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon shredded ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon shredded turmeric root
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, add the water. Set it on the stove to high heat. Put the shredded ginger and turmeric in a food sieve that can rest on the edge of the pan. Make sure the water can reach the roots.
  2. Bring to a boil and let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove the sieve from the pan and throw away the root shreds. Serve the tea while hot. Sweeten with honey or agave syrup to taste.
Notes
Note: The reason why you should throw away the root shreds after brewing the tea is because food that has been cooked cannot be composted.
