Slow Cooker Black Bean and Lentil Soup

Slow Cooker Black Bean and Lentil Soup | Natural Chow | http://naturalchow.com

I’m kickin’ into full fall mode. The shift from summer food to fall food was an easy one for me, partly due to the fact that I love the heck out of every soup known to man.

So to start out the season right (even though it’s still 83 degrees outside), today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite soup recipes. It’s really easy to make because all you have to do is toss a bunch of ingredients in a slow cooker and walk away. Does this scream “best dinner in the world” to anyone else?

Buttery Cajun Popcorn

Buttery Cajun Popcorn | Natural Chow | http://naturalchow.com

My family eats popcorn all the time. But sometimes we don’t just want plain popcorn. Sometimes we’re in the mood for something more exciting and flavorful—something like this oh-so good buttery Cajun popcorn. I have always been a fan of spicy foods. Not spicy as in “oh my gosh this is melting my face.” More like it just has a pop of spicy goodness. And this buttery Cajun popcorn is exactly that. What a great snack to combine while playing games such as 벳엔드.

I add all kinds of seasonings to my popcorn, but I can’t seem to get over the taste of buttery homemade popcorn with a kick of heat and Cajun flavor. I love it so much I’ve made it three times this week—twice for an afternoon snack, and once when we were watching a family movie together. And I’m not the only one in my house who thinks this recipe is beyond fantastic. Everyone said it was some of the best popcorn they’ve ever eaten.

Crispy Quinoa Patties with Dill Greek Yogurt Dip

Ever since I discovered how to make quinoa the right way, I make it regularly. Sometimes I eat it plain, other times I turn it into some amazingly fabulous dish that can’t seem to get into my belly fast enough. Like these crispy quinoa patties. Talk about taking a bite of heaven.

Before I knew how to make quinoa properly, all the quinoa patties I made tasted bitter and not so tasty. It was really disappointing and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. After that problem was solved, all I had to do was make the patties again. And it was a success!

10 Tips for Managing Your Time

Time management has been something I have always struggled with. So many hours of my life have been wasted on social media websites when there was work that should have been done. So many hours of being lazy that could have been spent working in my garden to yield a better crop. Getting sidetracked is something of a norm for me, but I can’t let that get in the way of me getting things done.

10 Tips for Managing Your Time | Natural Chow | http://naturalchow.com

It used to be really, really hard for me to get anything done. I was hardly ever on task, and I had to scramble to meet deadlines and maintain order in my life. It took me a long time to figure out that what I was doing wasn’t working, but once I did, I knew things had to change.

Do you remember that diffuser I told you about last week? I have been using my favorite essential oils in it NONSTOP. Not only does it make my house smell nice, but it also helps us to focus, stay calm, feel grounded, and helps us to feel happy. It’s quite amazing.

This week I hit 1000 likes on Facebook. How awesome is that? And in case you’re interested in starting a blog yourself, I’ll be sharing a very descriptive and easy way to start a blog pretty soon so stay tuned. (It’ll be shared on the Facebook page and in the newsletter so watch out for that. ;) )
