5 Ways to Organize Your Kitchen

I am all about organizing. Especially when it comes to the kitchen. The kitchen is where you cook, where you clean, and sometimes where you eat. So, it’s crucial that this is the most organized room in the house. Besides, almost everyone wants a beautiful kitchen that’s fun and inviting.

My kitchen is has one 4 foot counter. So keeping things organized sure comes in handy. Here are a few tips to help keep your favorite room looking great!

1. Purchase a Lazy Susan.

A lazy susan is a rotating platform that effectively saves space. I use mine to organize spices

2. Add Shelves.

Shelves in your kitchen can leave a lot more space on your counters. The idea of a vertical kitchen is becoming more common. Depending on how thick, long, and wide you want your shelves to be, shelves can be a great choice for holding items like tea cups, napkins, or even small appliances.

3. Stash Like Items Together.

Keep mixing bowls nested within larger mixing bowls to minimize the space that would’ve been taken up by clutter. Keep cutting boards stacked vertically or horizontally. Place pots that are similar in shape or size inside of each other.

4. Get Rid Of What You Don’t Need.

If you don’t need something, throw it away. There is no need to keep extra clutter in your kitchen that you don’t need.

5. Set Limits on Storage Containers.

I don’t know about you but I used to have too many plastic food storage containers. They were everywhere. Then my mom came up with a simple solution. Throw them all away and replace them. I’m telling you, glass Pyrex containers are the answer.
