Pura Stainless Steel Water Bottle Review

Recently, I was lucky enough to win a giveaway. Out of the 400 and something giveaways I’ve entered in my life, I finally won something. You wanna know how I felt when I received the e-mail that said that I was the winner? I felt like a million bucks. Not only did I win a giveaway, but I got quite an amazing prize, if I do say so myself. There just so happens to be a toddler living in my house who needed a new sippy cup.

As usual, I found this particular giveaway on Pinterest. It seemed like something cool to win, so of course I clicked on the pin. The giveaway was hosted by Growing Up Naturally In Home Child Care, which is an awesome blog for anyone who wishes to live green, natural & organic lifestyles. Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to win. Out of the 2587 entries, one of mine was chosen. Eep!

The first part of the prize was…

A 0.6 Liter Stainless Steel Pura Adult Water Bottle with a Flat Cap

I love this bottle. It keeps my hot drinks hot and my cold drinks cold. So far, I have used it to hold freshly brewed Turmeric and Ginger Tea when we went to the park a few days ago and a green smoothie to drink after I did my morning routine.

One of the things I love about this bottle is that it’s so easy to clean. I don’t know many people who genuinely love to wash the dishes so this is definitely an awesome feature. It’s also BPA-free and it doesn’t leach any harmful chemicals, a big plus for people trying to live naturally. I feel like I can trust an eight year old with it because it’s so durable.

Currently, you can purchase the 0.6L Stainless Steel Pura Adult Water Bottle with a Flat Cap for $15.99 on the Pura Website. You can view the product details here.

And the second part of the prize was…

A 11oz Pura Kiki Toddler Bottle with a Silicone Soft Spout

Now this I was very excited about. I love that there’s measurement markings on the inside of the bottle so I can see how much I’m pouring while I’m pouring it. Not only does the nipple of the bottle not leak, but it’s also very durable (meaning that your toddler can’t puncture it with their teeth). On top of that, it comes with a silicone travel cap that decreases the chances of spills and leaks.  I look forward to not having to clean up messes in the car, in the crib, and everywhere else toddlers go on a bi-daily basis. It may seem like a large investment just for a sippy cup, but it’s so much more than that and it lasts a lifetime. It’s also 100% plastic free which is always good.

Both bottles come in a multitude of fun colors.

You may be wonder why I’m ecstatic about each of the bottles being plastic free. Plastic free means that any chance of BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, and other petroleum by-products leaking into your beverages is completely eliminated. Why would anyone want the toxins that plastic bottles, nipples, and lids leach.

BPA (Bisphenol A) is an industrial chemical that has been linked to heart disease, learning disabilities, diabetes and other adverse health impacts. Countries such as Canada, China and all of the European Union have banned BPA in specific uses and applications. BPA can leach from packaging into foods and beverages. (source)

I strongly encourage the purchase of these bottles. I all-around love them. If you’re interested in purchasing these products, you can buy the adult bottle here and the sippy cup here via Amazon (affiliate links).

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this giveaway. All opinions stated are my own. While I was given the water bottles for free, they were a prize in a giveaway. I hold no business relationships or sponsorships with Pura or Becky from Growing Up Naturally In Home Child Care.
