Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey Review and Giveaway

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of sweet things. I mean, I really try to limit myself from processed sugar as much as possible, so I try to occasionally use honey as a sweetener in my coffee, lemonade, smoothies, chia seed pudding, and other recipes. But the problem is that until a few months ago, I only bought honey in the little bear container from the supermarket. Let me clarify a little on that. I was buying filtered, highly-processed honey that probably came from bees that were allowed to pollinate on genetically-modified plants. Now, I’ve had raw honey in the past, but I got the feeling that I hadn’t really gotten a taste of the “good stuff” until Tropical Traditions sent me a sample of their organic raw honey to review.

Let me start out by saying that I love honey. I love how fresh it tastes, the way it tingles in my mouth, and most of all, how pure it tastes. When I tasted a small (read: reaaally tiny) spoonful of the Tropical Traditions Organic Canadian Raw Honey, I was immediately overcome with emotions that I’ve never felt about any other honey or sugar. Regular honey is very liquid yet thick, but this honey is so smooth, creamy, and incredibly luscious. For the next few nights, I think I may have to lock it up in a safe so I don’t feel tempted to eat spoon after spoon of it in the middle of the night.

I like the taste, of course; I most like it because when I put it in hot tea, it helps my sore throat.

I like it because it’s so much better for you than store bought processed honey. I’ve always heard that natural honey, especially local honey can help you with certain allergies.

What I like most about raw honey is that you can use it or put it in just about anything and will everything taste incredible. Nothing beats raw honey.

I like that there is actual nutrition in honey, one of the few sweeteners that do. I like getting honey from reputable sources as I’ve heard that some of the honey on grocery store shelves is actually colored corn syrup. Thanks for a great giveaway!

Honey on my face after a good scrub. Honey in my tea and oatmeal. Honey in my smoothies and salad dressings!

I love that raw honey helps my family and I with our seasonal allergies, boosts our immune systems, and that by purchasing it we are ensuring that there continues to be a vibrant beekeeping community, especially when bees are becoming so endangered, and we must help them survive or crops, gardens and trees will no longer survive!

I have been reading up on beekeeping, and bees. I hope to someday keep these amazing creatures. Honey is truly wonderful. To me it’s like gold. It’s full of wonderful stuff! Pollen, propolis, enzymes, just to name a few. All beneficial to the human body!

I’ve been trying to find a good source of honey, do you know where it comes from? Like the kind of plants? Thanks:)
