Perfect Creamy Homemade Coconut Milk

I think coconut is amazing. I love coconut oil, I love coconut cream pie, but I also love coconut milk. I’ve been using coconut milk for about 4 months now. At first, I was a little leery of all the non-dairy milks out there like rice milk, almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk. But slowly, we tried all of them—all except the soy milk. But my favorite out of all of the four, my favorite was, is, and will forever more be coconut milk. I love the flavor, the creaminess, but I was a little sad about how much I paid for a carton or two of it a week. So I figured it was about time that I attempt to make my own. Luckily, there was no shortage of information, recipes, and videos on making homemade coconut milk. So, I prepared myself to go on another adventure in my little kitchen—making my own homemade milk.

Easy Homemade Plain Yogurt

Yogurt is one of those staple foods in my house. So buying overpriced, highly-processed yogurt is kinda something I’m not willing to mess around with. I’d rather make my own, and luckily it’s super easy. Everyone in my family prefers homemade plain yogurt over store-bought yogurt and yogurt has become one of those things that we look forward to each morning and afternoon. What I love about yogurt is that you can serve on the side of just about everything, use it in baked goods, and mix it with fruit and freeze to make yogurt pops. Despite its versatility, I used to be afraid of making my own yogurt. It always seemed so hard and not worth the effort, but I can assure you that making your own yogurt is a lot easier than you might think.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review and Giveaway

Since starting my journey to a healthy lifestyle, I’ve been trying more and more things that I would have never even thought to try out. For example, only a few months ago, I had no idea what a chia seed was, let alone what I was missing out on. And now, I don’t know what I would do without chia seeds. The same goes for coconut oil. The only oil I used to use was canola oil from Walmart, and as you can imagine, I wasn’t exactly living the healthy lifestyle that I’m trying to live currently. But when I started using coconut oil, I was having a hard time finding quality, organic coconut oil that was at a reasonable price and that I knew I could trust. I had to lower my standards and convince myself that the coconut oil that I was buying was “good enough.” but if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s to never accept something as good enough and to always seek out improvement. Cool Ranch Flavored Popcorn

HappySpicyHourMy family loves popcorn. We love it so much that we have it three or four times a week. Sometimes we eat it plain, sometimes we top it with salt and pepper, other times we dip it in hot sauce…

But most of the time, we flavor the popcorn with our own seasonings. Usually, we just use the Nacho Cheese homemade seasoning, but recently, my mom suggested that we try to find a recipe for a Cool Ranch flavor, which I’m guessing she’s been craving for a while.

Simple Homemade Laundry Detergent

Simple Homemade Laundry Detergent

If you turn around the box or bottle of laundry detergent you have sitting in your laundry room, what kind of ingredients are you looking at? Are you reading ingredients like Nonanoyloxybenzenesulfonate? If so, I highly recommend dropping the commercial detergents and opting for a homemade alternative. Making your own laundry detergent is less dangerous, less expensive, and still gets your laundry clean every time.

I know that some people may be intimidated by even the thought of making their own laundry detergent, because I was too before I made the switch to homemade, but I promise you that it’s not that hard. This homemade laundry detergent uses only 3 ingredients, takes only 10 minutes to make, and is a great way to start ridding your home of toxic chemicals.
