I drink tea everyday. Every morning and every night. And when I do, I usually drink tea I make myself or Tazo Tea. I’m sure you’re wondering how this doesn’t become boring. Well, my dear friends, this is how.
Introducing: Turmeric and Ginger Tea. (AKA: the reason I don’t have as much inflammation problems…)
I really love this tea. And I mean really, really love it. This tea is just what I need to wake me up in the mornings. I rarely drink coffee anymore (not that I don’t looove coffee). It is super refreshing, perfectly spicy, and extremely tasty. Not to mention how healthy it is for you.
And it contains zero processed ingredients? Girl, you better get out.

What is so healthy about turmeric?
Turmeric, the bright yellow of the spice rainbow, is a powerful medicine that has long been used in the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine as an anti-inflammatory agent to treat a wide variety of conditions, including flatulence, jaundice, menstrual difficulties, bloody urine, hemorrhage, toothache, bruises, chest pain, and colic. What about ginger?
Historically, ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. In herbal medicine, ginger is regarded as an excellent carminative (a substance which promotes the elimination of intestinal gas) and intestinal spasmolytic (a substance which relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract). Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects. Here’s the recipe:
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon shredded ginger root
- 1 teaspoon shredded turmeric root
- In a saucepan, add the water. Set it on the stove to high heat. Put the shredded ginger and turmeric in a food sieve that can rest on the edge of the pan. Make sure the water can reach the roots.
- Bring to a boil and let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove the sieve from the pan and throw away the root shreds. Serve the tea while hot. Sweeten with honey or agave syrup to taste.

i have no special diet. i just try to eat as less processed foods as i can.

I stick with a traditional diet, but I try to eliminate all the processed foods that I can – even if that means an extra 20 minutes in the kitchen a day because it is so worth it health wise.

I love tazo tea! Its relaxing and love the diff flavors. The tumbler is a pretty blue. Great for driving! I dont have any eating preferences except that i want to be healthier maybe less sugar and fat
