Blog Tour

Happy Monday everyone! Today I’m switching things up a bit. I was invited by the wonderful Shanice from City of Creative Dreams to participate in a blog tour! What’s a blog tour you ask? A blog tour allows you to share some details about yourself with your readers and also introduce them to some other bloggers you love and follow. Shanice from City of Creative Dreams shared my blog and today I’ll be answering a few questions that everyone else has to answer. Then I’ll let you get to know two awesome blogs! So let’s get started!

Blog Tour | Natural Chow

Question #1 – What am I working on right now?

I’ve been working behind the scenes with a bunch of cool brands and bloggers to create awesome giveaways and posts for you guys. I also have A LOT of pumpkin and fall themed recipes that I can’t wait to share with you. Recently, I’ve been trying to better my photography skills in hopes of making the insanely delicious food I share more appetizing.

Question #2 – Why do I write/create what I do?

I write because I want to share with everyone my passion for cooking and eating foods that nourish your body. I spend most of my time in the kitchen, so sharing recipes with you several times a week is a must. There are plenty of reasons why I write and share all of these recipes, but I think the most important one is that I encourage YOU to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.

Question #3 – How does my work differ from others in its genre?

I think there are many wonderful blogs out there that share healthy recipes, but I think mine is unique because I try to take a more personal approach to helping others eat healthy. I focus on finding recipes that kids will love, adults will love, and that won’t empty your wallet. Not only do I share healthy recipes, I share my experience will essential oils, gardening, and natural living.

Question #4 – How does your writing/creating process work?

I start with an idea that I think you’ll love. Skinny Banana Oatmeal Smoothie anyone? Then, I make the recipe several times, to ensure that the recipe works and is a keeper. After that, I have a little photo shoot of the food, edit the photos, write the post, and share it with you. My writing process goes like this:

What’s been going on lately in my life that’s directly related to this recipe? Why did I make it? Why do I love the recipe? Why do I think you’ll love the recipe? I explain a little bit of the cooking process, ways to make things go smoothly and easily, and wrap up the post. It’s not always simple, but if I’m not in the mood to write…I won’t write. How can I sell you on the fact that this smoothie is insanely delicious if the whole post sounds forced? I can’t. Simple as that.

Here are the two wonderful blogs I would like to share with you today.

Up first is Lara from Methodical Living!

Five Tips to Declutter Your Diet from Methodical Living

I’ve long since decluttered my diet, but I wanted to share with you these five awesome tips for getting rid of the junk and eating more good food. I just love the tips she gives and how she isn’t afraid to say that Coca Cola is her weakness but she’s trying her hardest to eat healthy and reach her goal weight.

Cajun Chicken Pasta from Methodical Living

I love Cajun (hence this popcorn), chicken, and pasta, so combine all three and I’m there. This recipe looks so delicious and simple and could easily be made even more healthy by substituting homemade alfredo sauce.

And up next we have Maria from Ten at the Table

I am actually a contributor to Ten at the Table, but I have been reading it from the start and love her recipes. A lot of them could easily be made healthy by using simple substitutions.

Easy Homemade Broth from Ten at the Table

I don’t eat meat all the time, but when I do, I make broth by combining all of the bones and any veggie scraps I’ve got sitting in the fridge. I love to cook quinoa in the broth and it tastes ah-mazing!

Homemade Wheat Bread from Ten at the Table

I make bread on a weekly basis and this homemade wheat bread recipe is soooo good. I’ve made it twice before and my family loves it! And it tastes so much better than the stuff from the store.

Thanks again Shanice for inviting me to do this blog tour. I hope all of you have a wonderful and stress-FREE week.
