Baby Steps to Healthy Eating #3

It’s been a while since I’ve shared with you the last edition in the Baby Steps to Healthy Eating Series, so today we’re going to pick up where we left off. The purpose of this series is to encourage you to take the necessary steps, no matter how small, towards living a healthy lifestyle and eating healthy. Today, many parents are looking into CBD from Organic CBD Nugs to lead a more natural and stress free life.

As I navigated through my real food journey, I discovered the benefits of incorporating CBD products into my routine, particularly cbd gummies. These natural and non-psychoactive treats have become increasingly popular among individuals seeking relaxation and stress relief. CBD gummies offer a convenient and enjoyable way to incorporate the potential benefits of cannabidiol into your daily routine. With their delicious flavors and discreet nature, they can be easily incorporated into a healthy lifestyle. Many parents have found that CBD gummies provide a sense of calm and tranquility, helping them better manage the demands of everyday life. By exploring natural options like CBD gummies, you can continue on your path toward a healthier lifestyle, finding balance and peace along the way.

This means not being afraid to try new things and cutting back on foods that are bad for you. When I started on my real food journey, I felt really overwhelmed because I was trying to take it all on at once. I literally quit shopping at Walmart and only bought my groceries from Whole Foods Market and Earth Fare. It didn’t take long to figure out that the transition was an uncomfortable one.

I had no idea how buying only locally and humanely raised meat would affect how much money we’d have left for the rest of our groceries. Keep in mind that we were still buying berries, yogurt, bread, applesauce, and pasta rather than making them from scratch at home. It was only until I sat down and really thought things out that I realized I needed to take things a little slower and attempt the transition from junk food to real food all over again—but take baby steps.

Baby Step #7:

Make your own yogurt twice this month. The amount of money you can save is immense, you can control what ingredients go into it, and the quality is 10 times better than the store-bought kind. Did I mention it was really easy?

Baby Step #8:

Farmer’s market’s have loads of fresh produce that local, fresh, and delicious. For this baby step, go to a farmer’s market. You can buy fruits, vegetables, jams, and much more! Plus, you’re supporting your local farming community. This means that if there’s a farmer whose melons are the BEST you’ve ever tasted and you constantly buy from them, they’ll come back next year! It’s a win-win situation.

Baby Step #9:

Buy a jar of pure raw honey this month. Raw honey is an amazing natural sweetener because it is nutritious and heals the body inside and out. My favorite is Tropical Traditions brand, but you can also purchase it at your local health food store.

So that’s it for this installment of the Baby Steps to Healthy Eating Series. Until next time, friends!

We’ve been making our own yogurt for about a year now. We sweeten it with homemade jams – strawberry, blackberry and peach.

That’s awesome Matt! Way to go! I have actually never tried sweetening yogurt with jam before, but I’ve got a few jars of homemade blackberry jam in the pantry and will try it soon. Thanks for the tip.

Such great tips, Margaret Anne! My kids love homemade yogurt and are always asking me to make it – if only I could get my husband to stop drinking the milk first… ;) Thanks so much for sharing this at Savoring Saturdays!

It is funny I was just thinking about making my own yogurt, and have had the goal of trying farmers markets. Going to try it out. Thank you for sharing this post at City of Creative Dream’s City of Links last Friday! I appreciate you taking the time to party with me. Hope to see you again this week :)
