5 Way to Elevate your Morning Coffee

bunncoffee1Anyone who knows me knows that I DEPEND on my morning coffee. There is nothing like a nice HOT cup of coffee to start the day. Apparently, I am a nicer person after I get my coffee.  I know I am more productive which in turn help me get all my work done on time and to complete my daily to-do list.  I’m always more alert which helps me keep track of my one-year-old niece who loves to get into absolutely EVERYTHING these days.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a cup of hot black coffee, but it can get a little boring if that’s all I’m drinking every morning! Here are some of the ways I like to keep my coffee interesting and  elevate my morning.

First, and probably the most important thing to do is starting with the right machine. My BUNN HB Coffee Maker is so easy to use and reliable! I don’t have to worry about waking up on time to make coffee, because as any coffee addict knows it is not a good feeling to have to get up….and MAKE the coffee…before you’ve actually HAD any coffee! With the BUNN HB Coffee Maker,  you can set the coffee at night to start brewing just before you wake up, and it will be there for you when you get to the kitchen, hot and ready to go! To make the perfect cup at home having a machine that can attain and hold the optimal temperature (196°-205°F) is key.

Another easy way to elevate your coffee in the morning is to literally add spice to your coffee! A few shakes of cinnamon on top of the grounds before you hit brew is a great way to add a great flavor to your cup of joe as well as a good bit of nutrition! Cinnamon can lower blood sugar levels, reduce heart disease risk factors, and has a plethora of other impressive health benefits.

I like, nay, LOVE a good creamer in my fridge for mornings when I have to be out the door in 5 minutes because my alarm clock just isn’t as reliable as my coffee maker! Yeah, I woke up late , but my coffee is ready to go and I have a creamer in the fridge to make it scrumptious enough to get me out of my bad mood. The only problem is its hard to find a good coffee creamer that won’t have all sorts of bad ingredients that frankly, I don’t want in my body! That’s why I love keeping a mason jar of my favorite homemade vanilla coffee creamer in the fridge! I also love this hazelnut coffee creamer made with ingredients I can pronounce.

For those mornings that there isn’t much going on, and I just wanna curl up with a book on the couch and read for a few hours and unwind, I like to make a more interesting (gourmet if you will) coffee. My BUNN HB Coffee Maker really helps me to channel my inner barista and make the morning special. My favorite recipe to use on those mornings has butter in it if you can believe it! I really feel refreshed and energized after my reading time is up and get my to-do list done faster and with a better attitude.

Y’all, the holidays are HERE! SO another great way I like to switch up my coffee in the morning is with a mint chocolate twist. It is so simple and quick, everyone I have ever made it for has absolutely loved it. Since coffee is such a big part of the time spend at home with my family and friends, it is important to me that the coffee maker I use is of real quality. BUNN’s unique brewing process has qualified it to meet the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) professional standards! Only 10 coffeemakers have received this distinction. So I am pretty happy with my BUNN HB Coffee Maker in coffee makers!

How do you like to elevate your coffee in the morning?

    Hi Margaret Anne,

I too DEPEND on my morning coffee! And I’m pretty sure my family would say I’m more enjoyable to be around after I’ve had my morning cup. ;)

I like to elevate mine with grassfed butter, coconut oil, a splash of vanilla and a bit of stevia, whirred around in the blender until frothy…bulletproof is my favorite!

Your homemade vanilla coffee creamer sounds delicious – Can’t wait to try it!
